NH 1000 Books Before Kindergarten is an early literacy initiative that encourages families to read to their young children and to use the resources of their public libraries.

The Plainfield Public Libraries are offering the program to families with children birth - 5 years.

Register at the Meriden Library or the Philip Read Memorial Library and receive a free tote bag with a new book and a starter kit.

With his 12-string guitars and Celtic harp, Odds Bodkin tells heart-warming stories for the holidays. Includes The Winter Cherries, his beloved tale from the days of King Arthur, a Chanukah tale and a sing-along story. Appropriate for all ages, this performance begins at 6:00 p.m. in the Music Room at Plainfield Elementary School. Bring the whole family!
