1000 Books Before Kindergarten Print E-mail


NH 1000 Books Before Kindergarten is an early literacy initiative that encourages families to read to their young children and to use the resources of their public libraries.

The Plainfield Public Libraries are offering the program to families with children birth - 5 years.

Register at the Meriden Library or the Philip Read Memorial Library and receive a free tote bag with a new book and a starter kit.

The Friends of the Meriden Library present a  concert with Jazz Pianist, David Herridge.

Come enjoy an evening of music and bring your requests for your favorite American classics, jazz and show tunes.

Wednesday, October 5 , 6:30pm, Flickinger Auditorium at Kimball Union Academy

David is an extraordinary pianist and vocalist performing in the 5 star hotels and jazz clubs of Paris and London.  An accompanist with the Pete Allen Dixieland Jazz Band he as appeared throughout the UK and France.

Free and open to all.
